A man has been apprehended in Muzaffarnagar for allegedly disseminating objectionable content against the nation on the social media platform Facebook, as reported by local police on Wednesday.
The police area officer, Devvrat Bajpai, informed reporters that the suspect has been identified as Kurban Tyagi, and serious charges have been filed against him following an investigation.
According to the officer, the investigation confirmed Tyagi's involvement in sharing the offensive material. He resides in the village of Pawati Khurd, located in the Charthawal police jurisdiction of Muzaffarnagar district.
Authorities noted that Tyagi is the fourth individual to be arrested in the district under similar allegations. Previously, three others were detained for allegedly sharing offensive and pro-Pakistan content on social media.
